Ing. Dr. Osei Louis Kwasi

Senior Energy Engineer | Energy Transition Specialist

Ing. Dr. Osei Louis Kwasi is a Senior Energy Engineer and energy transition specialist with over 17 years of multidisciplinary experience across power systems engineering, renewable energy, green hydrogen, oil and gas infrastructure, industrial energy efficiency, and energy economics. His work uniquely integrates industry delivery, policy advisory, and academia, enabling technically sound and investment-ready clean energy solutions.

He holds a PhD in Sustainable Energy Technologies from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, an MSc in Energy Systems Engineering, and an MSc in Industrial Mathematics (Operations Research). He also holds a professional Certification in Climate and Renewable Energy Finance from Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, strengthening his expertise in project finance, bankability, and climate-aligned investments.

Ing. Dr. Kwasi works as an Independent Energy and Climate Consultant, advising governments, development partners, and private investors on renewable energy systems, green hydrogen project development, techno-economic modelling, system optimisation, policy support, and project structuring. He has also served as a Technical Advisor on green hydrogen projects with GIZ, supporting project design, stakeholder engagement, and market development for hydrogen deployment in Africa.

Previously, he held senior engineering and leadership roles at the Electricity Company of Ghana, BOST/TSL Logistics, and the University of Ghana Medical Centre, where he led critical infrastructure projects, achieved measurable energy-cost reductions, and maintained strong safety and compliance records.

He is an Adjunct Lecturer at Ghanaian universities, delivering practice-oriented courses in power systems planning and operation, electromechanical energy conversion, substations and transmission lines, instrumentation, and mechatronics, and is widely published in peer-reviewed journals on renewable energy, hydrogen systems, mini-grids, and industrial energy optimisation.

Elsie Gamor, Esq

Legal | Regulatory Specialist

Elsie Gamor is a lawyer and member of the Ghana Bar Association, with professional experience spanning Natural Resources Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, Litigation, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). She provides strategic legal advisory services on due diligence, regulatory compliance, governance, and risk management, supporting both public- and private-sector engagements.

In addition to her core legal practice, Elsie has developed specialised expertise in renewable energy and green hydrogen policy and regulation. She offers consultancy services focused on energy-sector legal frameworks, regulatory design, and compliance mechanisms, with particular emphasis on enabling clean energy deployment, decarbonisation pathways, and net-zero commitments. She is a strong advocate for robust, forward-looking legal and regulatory frameworks as a critical enabler of sustainable energy transitions.

Elsie holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Central University and a Qualifying Certificate in Law from the Ghana School of Law. She also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) Preparatory Certificate, strengthening her ability to support complex, multi-stakeholder energy and infrastructure projects.

Through her combined legal, regulatory, and energy-policy expertise, Elsie Gamor contributes to shaping credible, compliant, and investment-ready frameworks that support the growth of renewable energy and green hydrogen ecosystems in Ghana and across Africa.

Michael Ampeh Boateng

Climate | ESG | Power-to-X Specialist

Michael Ampeh Boateng is a Chemical Engineer and Climate & ESG specialist with strong expertise spanning Power-to-X (PtX), green hydrogen and derivatives, sustainability reporting, carbon markets, and industrial decarbonisation. He brings a rare combination of technical depth, sustainability finance knowledge, and policy-relevant advisory experience to support low-carbon industrial transformation.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and multiple professional certifications, including Renewable Power-to-X, Chemistry and Climate Change, Environmental Assessment & Management, ESG Reporting, Carbon Markets, Development of Sustainable Industrial Areas and Chemical Clusters, HACCP, International Trade, and Financial Management. He is also certified in the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, including IFRS S1 (General Sustainability Disclosures) and IFRS S2 (Climate-Related Disclosures), with additional training in integrated sustainability reporting and organisational implementation.

Michael currently serves as Lead Climate & ESG Consultant to the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), where he supports industry-wide sustainability strategies, ESG compliance, and climate risk management. He is also a Consultant for Ghana’s Technology Needs Assessment under United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), contributing to national climate mitigation and technology prioritisation efforts. In addition, he is the Managing Consultant of Blue Alliance, delivering advisory services to multinational corporations, local companies, development partners, and government institutions.

He led the team that delivered the landmark “Sector Analysis – Ghana: Market Potential for Green Ammonia Applications”, providing strategic insights into hydrogen derivatives, industrial demand, and decarbonisation pathways. Michael is also currently working on a book titled “Green Business Ideas”, which showcases commercially viable products derived from or powered by green hydrogen, alongside climate-smart solutions that can be partially financed through carbon credits.

Through his work, Michael Ampeh Boateng is committed to advancing bankable green hydrogen value chains, credible ESG disclosure, and climate-aligned industrial growth across Ghana and the wider African region.

Dr. Flavio Odoi-Yorke

Renewable Energy | Hydrogen Systems

Dr. Flavio Odoi-Yorke is a renewable energy engineer and academic with a strong research and practice focus on green hydrogen systems. He is a Lecturer in the Department of Renewable Energy Technology at Cape Coast Technical University, where he teaches and conducts research in sustainable energy technologies, energy systems design, and energy policy. His professional experience spans academia, consultancy, and applied energy systems, including earlier roles as a solutions consultant and teaching and research assistant.

Flavio has developed specialised expertise in green hydrogen production, storage, and utilisation, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. His work integrates techno-economic analysis, system design, and policy-relevant research to support scalable hydrogen deployment. He has contributed extensively to advancing knowledge on hydrogen production from renewable sources, decentralised hydrogen systems for rural electrification, hydrogen for clean cooking, and hydrogen-based energy storage solutions. His research also explores integrating solar PV and wind systems with hydrogen technologies to enable low-carbon energy transitions.

In addition to hydrogen, his broader research portfolio covers renewable energy systems, mini-grids, energy access, clean cooking and climate-aligned energy planning. He is highly skilled in energy modelling and simulation tools such as HOMER, RETScreen, LEAP, and PVSyst, which he applies in feasibility studies, optimisation, and policy analysis. His work consistently bridges technical modelling with real-world deployment challenges in emerging and resource-constrained contexts.

Dr. Odoi-Yorke holds a PhD in Sustainable Energy Technologies from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, an MSc in Energy Engineering from the Pan African University Institute of Water and Energy Sciences, and a BSc in Physics. He is a Professional Engineer and an active peer reviewer for several high-impact international journals in energy and sustainability.

Through his research, teaching, and collaborations, Flavio contributes to shaping evidence-based pathways for green hydrogen development in Africa. His work supports the design of technically viable, economically feasible, and policy-aligned hydrogen ecosystems that can accelerate decarbonisation, improve energy access, and strengthen regional energy resilience.
